Author’s Note

Every story I write is a piece of my heart, and this one — krishav and yashika— is no exception. When I first imagined them, I didn’t just see a bratty boy and a clumsy girl; I saw two broken souls learning to navigate a world that had hurt them in different ways. Krishav, with his walls built high from family betrayals and silent pain, and yashika, with her awkwardness and clumsy courage, are more than just a couple. They are reminders that love doesn’t always come neatly packaged, and healing doesn’t happen overnight.

This book is about finding light in unexpected places. It’s about the quiet courage it takes to open your heart again after being hurt, and the patience and persistence it takes to make someone feel safe enough to let you in. There are moments of humor, because life is messy and often ridiculous, and there are moments of heartache, because sometimes love is terrifying. But through it all, it is human.

I hope, as you read their story, you feel the weight of their struggles, the warmth of their small victories, and the intensity of their connection.
